Scholarship: GSK Scholars Program
The STEM Center of Excellence for Active Learning provides the GlaxoSmithKline Foundation Scholars Program. The goal of the GSK Scholarship Program is to increase the number of honors students who are committed to graduating in four years and pursuing careers in STEM disciplines. The annual scholarship is $5,000. Each scholar also receives a new laptop. Eligibility and Requirements The first GSK scholars were selected based on student academic performance and interest in academics and in service learning. Pre-College: AMASS Program
SCEAL sponsors the Advancing Mathematics and Science Skills (AMASS) Program. AMASS is an intense two-week residential summer program designed to: Build a strategic pipeline for high-achieving STEM students; Document students’ interest in science/science careers; Build confidence in various science process skills; Increase knowledge of the college application process; and Increase college access by providing SAT preparation for students.
